Threaded male hinge pins, J-bolts, and lag screws are the post-side components that complete a wood gate hinge assembly. These fittings install directly into wood posts and provide the pin or hook that a female strap hinge drops onto, giving your gate a secure and adjustable pivot point. Collared styles add stability at the connection point and help prevent lateral movement, while no-collar options offer a cleaner profile where clearance is a concern.
